There are thousands of people who make Grace Church work and dozens of teams on which they serve. Allow us to introduce you to the Grace Church pastoral team.

Brett & Gizelle Jones

Senior Pastors


Brett and Gizelle Jones are the proud parents of three adult children, Kimber, Casey and Carley and two precious grandchildren, Ella and Garner.

 In addition to pastoring at Grace Church, Pastor Brett is the Executive Chaplain for the Houston Airport System overseeing Bush Intercontinental and Hobby airports. Considered a “leader’s leader,” he provides mentorship to many pastors and their congregations. With a passion for missions and evangelism he has traveled the globe ministering the Gospel and equipping leaders.

Pastor Brett’s heart is to see the lost saved and to never lose sight of “the one” in the masses. He considers his most influential role model his father, the late Bishop Franklin Jones, whose rich legacy of ministry, service, and honor is woven into the very fiber of his being. Two of his greatest accomplishments have been walking to the altar with Jesus and walking to the altar with Gizelle, his beautiful wife of over 35 years.

Scott & Melanie Jones

Senior Pastors


Pastor Scott and Melanie Jones are the proud parents of two incredible children –Spencer and Savannah.

Since graduating as senior class president and valedictorian of his high school in 1984, Pastor Scott embarked into society with the desire to make a difference. He has been full time in ministry since 1985. His natural aptitude for leadership and administration has always enabled him to rally people around any worthy cause.

Ordained in 1990, he has held various administrative and executive positions in ministry. Pastor Scott currently serves as chairman of the Global Network of Christian Ministries – a ministers’ network with over 550 members. Pastor Scott has a natural gift for communicating and as a public speaker he utilizes his sense of humor and life experiences to effectively reach audiences of all ages.

He also holds a degree in theology and Christian psychology and is a Certified Christian Counselor. His ministry has taken him to over ten countries and around the nation, speaking to audiences ranging from eight to eight thousand.

In 1995 he and his wife, Melanie, settled in Humble, Texas to serve as pastors at Grace Church. Melanie’s ministry scope reaches from Women’s Ministry to worship. She is a gifted and anointed vocalist who has been featured on many recording projects. She and Pastor Scott truly partner together in ministry.

Joyce Jones

“Lady J”


Joyce Jones, the widow of Bishop Franklin Jones, is the matriarch of Grace Church.

She is actively involved in the day-to-day activities of the church and mirrors the values that have directed God to pour out abundant blessings on the church. Joyce Jones is all about people and she has faithfully served this church for 49 years. She loves deeply, purely, without reservation and is truly the matriarch who encapsulates the calling of Grace.

Mike & Brenda Acosta

Missions Pastors


Pastor Mike and Brenda Acosta have an extensive background in ministry. They joined the Grace Church staff in March 2004.

 Mike and Brenda lead our missions effort known as ImagineNations. In addition, they provide oversight to member care, connection process, service and campus pastors, and churchwide events. The Acostas have three beautiful daughters — Ashlie, Megan and Isabella.

Michael & Shelly Bushnell

Grace Kids Pastors


Pastor Michael and Shelly Bushnell serve as our children’s ministry pastors.

Both Michael and Shelly have an extensive background in public education, having been educators for more than two decades. Before joining the Grace staff, Michael was an assistant principal at Atascocita Springs Elementary School in Humble ISD. Shelly continues to teach at a Park Lakes Elementary School. Aside from being professionally equipped, the Bushnells have been active members of Grace Church for over twelve years and their passion for children’s ministry is through the roof. They are the proud parents of three great children — Avery, Grayson and Braden.

Keith & Dana Cistrunk

Member Care Pastors


Pastor Keith and Dana Cistrunk have served in various ministry roles for over twenty years. When you meet this great couple, you will quickly understand their love for people and their incredible character.

Dana was born and raised in WV and has a bachelor’s degree in commercial art. She assists Keith in Grace Church’s
member care department in various capacities. Dana has a heart for women and
serves on the “Wonder” board, a women’s ministry at Grace Church. Spending
quality time with her husband and children are important to her. Cooking and eating great foods are a couple of Dana’s
passions, and she also enjoys painting, singing and shopping.

Keith serves as an associate pastor and Member Care Director, making
home and hospital visits and assisting with weddings, funerals and
counseling. Over the past  30 years, Keith has served as an usher,
deacon, director of music and pastoral staff member for several different
ministries. One of his joys is offering biblical insight on our identity
in Christ and how to spiritually navigate through the unpredictable
twists and turns of life.  He and his beautiful wife have four
wonderful children – Monica, Marcus, Travis and Kayla. Pappas Christian
Center is his second church, as seafood is his favorite!

Ken & Angie Senchal

Garden Oaks Campus Pastors


Pastor Ken and Angie Senchal returned to Grace Church in January 2013 to assist in the development of Grace Church campuses. 

Ken grew up in Grace Church where he and Angie served on staff as student pastors before transitioning to Oklahoma City to build a thriving church as senior pastor for 12 years. Ken and Angie love working together as a team and have a passion to see people’s lives changed by the power of God’s Word. Ken’s educational background includes an associate of science degree in Respiratory Therapy from San Jacinto College. He worked at Texas Children’s Hospital in the critical care units. Additionally, Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science and ethics from Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City. Ken and Angie have two wonderful children of whom they are so very proud of — their son Kendall and daughter Kenzie.

Blake & Amanda Hebert

Operations Pastors


Pastor Blake and Amanda Hebert are operations pastors and joined the Grace Church staff in June 2002.

Blake oversees the facilities, calendar planning, IT department and many other administrative areas at Grace Church. Pastor Blake is a graduate from the University of Houston where he obtained degrees in psychology and sociology. They have three children — Lane, Madeline and Macy.

Casey & Kristine Jones

Finance Pastors


Pastor Casey and Kristine Jones joined the staff in 2008. They have been married for 10 years and are blessed with a beautiful daughter, Ella.

Casey oversees finances, manages data entry, procurement and human resources. The Jones’ passion is to steward all of God’s resources for His glory.

Casey is a connoisseur of books, coffee and baseball (Go Astros!). Kristine is passionate about singing and being a mom, and enjoys decorating. Ella loves anything and everything. The Jones family is rounded out by their doberman, Major.

Chuck & Ashley Martin

Connections Pastors


Pastor Chuck and Ashley Martin joined the team in January 2008, and they currently serve as connections pastors.

Chuck is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and is passionate about seeing people live out their faith in the local church. Chuck leads the Connections team and many strategic initiatives at Grace Church. Connections is responsible for helping people connect to Grace through membership, connect groups and serving on teams. Ashley grew up here at Grace and is a part of women’s ministry, Grace Media team and many decor projects around our campuses. Ashley and Chuck are parents of a handsome little boy, Wrenly and a sweet little girl in Heaven, Waverly.

 

Clint & Kim Sylvester

Liberty Campus Pastors


Pastor Clint and Kim Sylvester serve as campus pastor at the Liberty campus. They have two incredible daughters, Blair and Brynn.

Hector & Roxann Soto

Worship Arts Pastors


Pastor Hector and Roxann Soto, our Arts Pastors, are gifted by God to lead in praise and worship. 

Hector’s musical ability and exceptional talent create a climate of excellence where God is exalted, and his gift has been recognized and featured on numerous recording projects. The Soto’s gifts for music are obvious, but even greater than that is their love for people. They oversee audio, band, worship team and choir. They have three wonderful children — Kristine, Andrew and Chloe. They also have a beautiful granddaughter, Ella.

Micah & Kristy Sutton

Tomball Campus Pastors


Micah and Kristy joined the Grace Church team in February of 2014 and currently serve as Grace Tomball campus pastors.

Prior to moving to the Houston area, they spent nine years planting and establishing a successful church in Kona, Hawaii. Their 20 plus years of ministry allows them to bring experience and strength to the pastoral team of Grace Church.
The two Sutton boys, Talon and Tyrian are established in Tomball schools and enjoying life in Texas.

Simeon & Sonya Young

Media Pastors


Simeon and Sonya are some of our newest additions to the Grace Church team. Simeon is media director and speaks at all four campuses.  

The Youngs have been in ministry for over 30 years and enjoy discipleship in small groups. They have two adult children and a daughter-in-law — Lemuel and Leisel, and Joanna. Additionally, Simeon enjoys racquetball, coffee, and writing and designing sermon series. Sonya drinks Tazo Organic Iced Green Tea every chance she gets, indulges the family dog, Onyx and loves discovering new things about God.

Ty & Liz Guice

Grace Students Pastors


 Tyler & Liz met at the University of Alabama and got married soon after graduating. 

With a love for the local church, they pursued ministry training and began working at Grace Church in 2014. They love the next generation and have a passion to see students saved and serving in the church. They are the parents of twin boys, Jack & Gray, and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Bruce. Tyler & Liz enjoy binge watching Netflix shows and are “those fans” when it comes to Alabama Crimson Tide football.
